Biomass Boilers

What is Biomass?

The term biomass is used to describe fuel that is derived from animal or vegetable (organic) mateial. It's usually derived from trees or crops which absorb carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere whilst growing and therefore offsets CO2 produced during combustion.

The organic matter is turned into pellets which are burned inside biomass boilers. Domestic and commercial biomass boilers include an automatic feeder mechanism that takes the correct quantity of fuel from the hopper into the combustion chamber, where a precise mixture of air is introduced, resulting in extremely efficient heat production (89-91% efficiency).
