Heat Pumps

Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside atmosphere to heat inside buildings. There are two types of air-source heating systems.

Firstly, Air-to-air heat pumps. These provide warm air. This is where energy is drawn from outside which is converted to warm air and circulated to heat inside the building. The second type is air-to-water, where energy drawn from outside is converted and used to heat water to provide heating to a building through radiators or an underfloor heating system.

Also available are ground source heat pumps. This is where (via external pipework), heat is drawn from within the ground and converted to heat for the home, office or swimming pool.
